LOWELL -- The Brush Art Gallery and Artists Studios, 256 Market St., is decked out for the holidays with its annual Holiday Marketplace up and running and offering a bevy of locally-made gifts and works of art for discerning shoppers.
December 7-9 is a special weekend with several events on the calendar.
On Friday, Dec. 7, enjoy homemade soups from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. while you shop.
The weekend continues with the Sugar and Spice cookie event on Saturday and Sunday. Sample homemade cookies from artists and board members between 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Vote for your favorite and take home the recipe.
On Sunday, the 3rd annual Charity Knit-A-Thon takes place from 3-5 p.m. Items will be donated to House of Hope. Lowell Family Services, Wish Project and Alternative House. If you don't knit, purchase knit items, with proceeds going to help Merrimack Valley Food Pantry.
