Art with your pizza
Works by Tom Gill, one of Lowell's most well-known painters, are on view through Oct. 30 at TreMonte Pizzeria, 112 Middle St., Lowell. Known for his landscapes, street scenes and portraits, his new show, "Impressions," is a collection of carefully observed oil paintings of the world as he sees it. Many of his scenes are easily identified views of the region. "The beauty of Tom's work is in his composition and distinctive layered brushwork, which appears casual but shows careful attention to detail," show coordinator Mary Hart said. A reception is set for Aug. 29, 6-8 p.m. For info, contact Hart at email@example.com.
