LOWELL -- The Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrating its 25th anniversary this fall, has plans for a big year ahead.
The festivities continue its annual Fall Concert on Friday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. at Pawtucket Congregational Church, 15 Mammoth Road, Lowell.
The program for the concert includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, Sibelius' Finlandia, and concertos by Mozart, Weber, Vivaldi, Villa-Lobos and Bruch, performed by LPO members.
Under conductor Valerie Taylor's direction since 2000, the LPO orchestra has flourished.
"Our membership and musicianship are at the highest mark, which enables us to present such a strong program," said Patricia Milner, LPO's personnel manager.
The concert is free, but donations are welcomed. Refreshments served.
A fundraising party will be held in the spring.
