LOWELL -- Performing in a variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles, UMass Lowell music students share their talents during free public, holiday concerts. Performances include:

Directed by faculty member Thomas Malone, the Choral Union will perform "What's Going On?," the music of Marvin Gaye. Fisher Recital Hall, Durgin Hall, South Campus, 35 Wilder St., Lowell.

-- University Wind Ensemble, Mon., Nov. 26, 7:30 p.m.

Directed by faculty member David Martins, the ensemble will perform compositions by Jay Dawson, Percy Grainger and William Schuman, along will new works by David Gillingham and Arnold Rosner. Durgin Concert Hall, South Campus, 35 Wilder St., Lowell.

-- Small Jazz Ensemble, Tues., Nov. 27, 7:30 p.m.

Directed by Platt, the ensemble will perform contemporary and classic works from the bands of Randy and Michael Brecker, Art Blakey and Horace Silver, and original compositions. Durgin Concert Hall, South Campus, 35 Wilder St., Lowell.
