What seemed like just weeks after MTV's Jersey Shore came to an end; the reality show giants brought Buckwild onto our tubes and into our households.
The Jersey Shore cast was made up of city-slickers with big "Jersey" personalities. They coined terms like "GTL" (gym, tan, laundry); meatballs (short, loud, crazy girls); fist pumping; and grenades (unattractive females).
After six seasons, the Jersey Shore empire ended and will forever go down in MTV history. So, what next? Some call it the "Redneck Jersey Shore" while others say it's "white trash gone viral."
Well, love it or hate it -- Buckwild is here to stay as they just signed onto a second season. The series follows the lives of nine individuals, living a "small town" lifestyle in the backwoods of West Virginia.
From four-wheelers to potato guns, big trucks, and love triangles, these kids were out to have "good clean fun" minus the mud. Well, that was until this week...
Twenty-four-year-old cast member Salwa Amin was arrested on Sunday for possession of drugs.
According to the Summersville, W.V., police chief, officers arrested Amin and two other men (who are not on the show) after "an extensive day of surveillance."
TMZ reports that the Summersville drug task force got a tip that a "shipment" would be delivered to the home sometime on Sunday. After observing much foot traffic coming in and out of the house they immediately obtained a search warrant and, soon after, launched the raid.
Amin was found hiding in a shed with the two men with a quantity of Oxycodone in her purse. A large amount of money and three packages of heroin were also uncovered in the investigation with the "intent to sell."
As of Tuesday, Amin was being held at the Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bail. Amin and MTV producers have not released a comment at this time.
