Hoping to leave the house for the Super Bowl but not sure where to go? Here is a sampling of what's planned at five bars around Greater Lowell. -- CHRIS LISINSKI

TJ Callahan's Pub, Tewksbury

Opens at noon on game day and will give away Patriots gear and Bud Light products. The bar has a total of six extra-large television screens and four regular-sized screens. Add to that, owner Dawn Callahan says, the "amazing food" that will be served.

Tilted Kilt, Billerica

Hosting a "pregame party" starting at 4 p.m. Appetizers will be half-priced from 4 to 6 p.m., and the bar will also offer beer buckets -- each of which comes with one pound of chicken wings -- from 6 p.m. until the end of the game. "There's nothing like watching anything on 73 TVs," said general manager Jill Gilbert.

The Old Court Pub, Lowell

No special events are planned, but the bar will show the game on its two televisions -- and owner Jerry Murphy said that will be enough for the regular crowd of 50 to 60 people. "It's a pretty eclectic group down here," he said. "I guarantee it will be more entertaining watching the crowd than watching the game."

Brickhouse Center Sports Grill, Chelmsford

This bar will also give away Budweiser gear the company donated as well as food and Brickhouse shirts Sunday starting about 4 p.m. Appetizers will be offered, and the game will be shown on 19 televisions and what owner Mike Brown called a "giant TV that's the size of six TVs."

A-Brews Tap and Grill, Dracut

The restaurant is hosting a Super Bowl party during game time featuring half-priced appetizers and, according to the Facebook event page, a major giveaway: Anyone in attendance will be entered for the chance to win a 55-inch television.
