Free fun for kids this summer
The Lowell Summer Music Series Free Fun for Kids program launched this week at Boarding House Park in Lowell. Today at 11 a.m., Ben Rudnick and Friends, a family band, take the stage. The series takes a break next week for the Fourth of July holiday, then resumes Wednesday, July 10, with Lucian Fuller, juggler, followed by the Yo-Yo People on Thursday, July 11. Other shows in the line-up include Magic with Robert Clarke, Wednesday, July 17; The Jungle Book, Thursday, July 18; Bee Parks & the Hornets, Wednesday, July 31; Hubba Bubba Magic, Thursday, Aug. 1; Stacey Peasley, Wednesday, Aug. 7; and Trend 'n' Motion Hip Hop Dance, Thursday, Aug. 8. All shows start at 11 and are preceded by make-and-take art at 10 a.m., and followed by National Park trolley rides at noon. Natural snacks and free healthy lunches from Lowell Public Schools will be available.
