Allen Iverson was once considered one of the best players in the NBA, but recently an Atlanta family court judge called him something quite the contrary ... a horrible, irresponsible, pathetic excuse for a parent.
The Atlanta judge recently signed off on Iverson's divorce from Tawanna Iverson, the mother of his five children. In the final moments of the divorce hearing the judge let the basketball star have it:
"(Iverson) does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.
For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired.
He has left the children alone without supervision. He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother."
Tawanna gained legal and physical custody of the kids and has permitted Allen some visitation rights -- that is should he abide by strict conditions.
Allen must stay clear and free of alcohol for the next 18 months and until all of his children turn 18 years old, he can't consume alcohol within 24 hours prior to seeing them. Allen was also ordered to see a therapist and attend AA meetings for the next year.
This ATL judge is sticking it to the man! How about we get Lindsay Lohan in his courtroom and
