LOWELL -- On Saturday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m., the experimental music ensemble Wired.to.the.Edge will perform. The group combines traditional acoustic and electronic instruments, computer programming, found audio and video clips to create original music.
The ensemble is comprised of UMass Lowell alumnus percussionist Abe Finch; UMass Lowell music faculty member, audio engineer and keyboardist Mike Testa; and audio engineer and performer Nick Giarratani. The group's sound draws on diverse influences such as the music of composers Milton Babbit and Steve Reich and the quartet So Percussion.
The concert is free and open to the public and takes place at Durgin Concert Hall, South Campus, 35 Wilder St., Lowell.
