CHELMSFORD -- Chelmsford Center for the Arts' artist-in-residence, Trina Teele, will hold "Get Yourself Painting" classes for beginners and seasoned painters. The class will teach basic concepts of drawing, color, value, light and composition. The cost is $125 for four Monday sessions -- Oct 16, Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 2. The Nick Goumas Quintet, also featuring jazz musicians Bruce Getz, Ken Cervenka and Jack Diefendorf, returns to the CCA Cabaret Café on Friday, Oct. 13, with their American songbook/post-bebop contemporary style. Their display of rhythmic and harmonic sense produces some exciting jazz improv. Come hear what growing audiences are discovering. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, and there will be a cash bar.

This Saturday, the unforgettable sounds of Burt Bacharach and Hal David will come to the CCA stage, with the 17-piece Deep Blue C Studio Orchestra, including four vocalists.
