If you've got a hankering for country music that spans generations, head on up to Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion this weekend.
One of today's biggest country acts, Zac Brown Band, pulls into town for shows Friday and Saturday nights with Lukas Nelson (Willie's kid) & The Promise of the Real supporting both nights.
If that's not enough, stick around for a great double bill Sunday night with Trace Adkins and Clint Black, with Terri Clark supporting, on the aptly named "Hits, Hats, History Tour."
Three great shows in one great setting, perhaps the best larger-sized outdoor venue in New England. You can't go wrong.
If you go, here's what to expect.
Zac Brown Band, stylized as ZBB, is one of the hottest music acts around, regardless of genre. They've released six studio albums, two live albums, a greatest-hits album and two extended plays. They've charted 16 songs on the Billboard hot country-songs chart, a whopping 13 of which have reached No. 1. They have one album that went triple platinum, "The Foundation," while two more are certified platinum, "You Get What You Give" and "Uncaged."
They've worked with Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell and Trombone Shorty, among many others. They put on a great live show and have a rabid fanbase. Expect two fun shows.
Meanwhile, Trace Adkins has been charting since the mid-1990s, placing more than 20 singles on the Billboard country-music charts, including chart-toppers "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing", "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "You're Gonna Miss This," in 1997, 2007 and 2008, respectively.
All but one of his studio albums has gone gold or platinum in the United States, while his highest-selling to date is 2005's "Songs About Me," which went double-platinum. He has a distinct bass-baritone singing voice.
Clint Black has been putting songs on the charts since the late 1980s. He famously married actress Lisa Hartman in 1991, and the two remain together today. He has placed more than 30 singles on the Billboard country charts, 22 of which have reached No. 1. He has founded his own record label, acted in movies and television shows, and won numerous music awards. He's a living legend.
Enjoy the weekend!
