BEDFORD -- Middlesex Community college will show "Waste Land," the third installment in its 2012-13 International Film Series, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. The film will be shown in MCC's Campus Center Café East at 591 Springs Road.
"Waste Land" follows Brazilian artist Vic Muniz, who collaborates with Brazilian trash pickers to make photographic images of themselves out of garbage. "Waste Land" won the Audience Award for Best World Cinema, Documentary at Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2011 Academy Awards.
