LOWELL -- A sure cure for the post holiday blues is in store for visitors to the Loading Dock Gallery at Western Avenue Studios, 122 Western Avenue.

From Jan. 2-27, artists gather for their annual 50 under 50 show, a collaborative effort showcasing 50 hidden gems of artwork, each priced at under $50.

Featured items include the Muddy Girls functional, whimsical pottery, Glenn Szegedy's one of a kind ceramics and fiber artist Ann Lee's embroidered, embellished art quilts.

And there are photographs and original paintings in acrylic, oil and watercolor to brighten winter days.

A reception takes place Saturday, Jan. 5, 5-7 p.m. The gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For info, call 978-656-1687 or visit www.theloadingdockgallery.com.
