CHELMSFORD Here s what s coming up at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, 1 North Road.
On Sunday, Nov. 12, the 2nd Sunday Jazz Jam returns to the CCA Cabaret Cafe, this time hosted by Jon Dreyer, who welcomes everyone to play, sing or listen. The Jazz Jam convenes every month except May. The cost is $5 at the door; there will be a cash bar.
On the third Thursday, Nov. 16, the Steve Hunt Trio will return for another great night at the CCA. The Cabaret Cafis an inviting space to meet friends and listen to world-class musicians. Have a glass of wine or beer, or have bartender Joe Varnum make one of his seasonal martinis. Showtime is 8 p.m. The cost is $10.
And on Saturday, Nov. 18, Elizabeth Von Trapp comes to the CCA!
The granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron Von Trapp, Elizabeth has been singing and playing guitar professionally since childhood, and has enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D.C. s Kennedy Center. With equal ease and eloquence, she sings from the Rodgers and Hammerstein repertoire to the works of Mozart, Puccini and Schubert, as well as pop classics. Likened to Judy Collins and Loreena McKennitt, she has been hailed by critics have for her hauntingly clear, joyfully expressive and simply beautiful voice.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Cost is $20, or $15 for CCA members.
